The Security Institute is the largest membership organisation for security professionals in the UK, with over 4,500 individual members.
Membership gives credibility, enhances career prospects, provides a network of excellent contacts, offers mentoring, continual professional development and a wide range of networking opportunities. Members are actively encouraged to become involved in speaking and/or organising regional meetings, alongside the educational and social programme based in London.
Companies are also welcome to show support for our aims, alongside development of their staff, by joining our Corporate Partner scheme which was launched at IFSEC in 2016.
We offer internationally recognised accredited security qualifications via our training partner at levels 3, 5 and 7 by distance learning – no examinations or classroom sessions away from your desk.
We manage the Register of Chartered Security Professionals (CSyPs) established under Royal Charter and launched in 2011. CSyPs have to prove that they are making a strategic impact, and that they have competencies at the required standard in security knowledge, practical application, leadership, communication skills and that they have a continuing personal commitment.
The Security Institute is committed to raising standards within the security profession, and encourages everyone working in security to actively seek to develop their knowledge, competence and expertise.
Respected, recognised, professional.
