Since 1982 Identec has pioneered the technology of simultaneous identification of a multitude of tags/transponders presented en masse to the interrogation field of a Reader using scrambled radio communications.There are three RFID systems available:

• CYPHERTAG® Tags and Readers
• CENSUS® Tags and Readers
• CRYPTAG® Tags and Readers (this range is now over 25 years old and only available to existing users).

There are differences between the systems in the frequencies used and the way the tag number data is derived which favours one or other system in certain circumstances. Cyphertag is the latest addition to the product range which uses modern DSP architecture making it immune to electrical interference. The systems cannot be mixed.
