Its external installation is in addition to a full internal system installed to BS5839-1 L5, in conjunction with the guidance on common fire alarms supporting simultaneous evacuation in order to remove the waking watch. 

Intelliclad is now recognised as an innovative risk management tool, mitigating the risk not only to the lives of residents but to the building itself by providing faster detection of façade fires.
