Wavestore win two Queen's Awards for Enterprise

21 Apr 2015

It was announced on 21st April 2015 that Wavestore had been presented with awards Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for International Trade and for Innovation.

Wavestore is just one of only two businesses to have won two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise this year, the most prestigious accolades for businesses in the United Kingdom. They are conferred annually by HM Queen Elizabeth II, on the advice of the Prime Minister, to organisations with outstanding performance in international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

In this article, Wavestore’s senior management express their delight in receiving the Awards, which they believe reflect the lead Wavestore is taking in developing innovative Video Management Software (VMS), and recognises the company’s stellar growth in international sales.

Stuart Caldecourt, Chairman & Managing Director“We are particularly proud to have won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the innovation category bearing in mind our commitment and ability to respond to changing market requirements,” said Stuart Caldecourt, Chairman & Managing Director of Wavestore. “We are constantly re-evaluating our VMS and with the help of our global network of business partners, we listen to feedback from the marketplace as to what is required to help users achieve their security and business objectives, both today and in the future. We truly understand the importance of striving to continually improve and innovate, and this is reflected in Version 6, the latest release of our VMS which we will be launching at IFSEC 2015.”

In support of Stuart’s comments, Justin Wheatley, Wavestore’s Director of Engineering, explains how the company’s highly talented software and hardware development teams share a passion for ensuring that Wavestore stands out from the crowd in what is a fragmented VMS marketplace, by developing features and functions that deliver real benefits to our users around the world.

Justin Wheatley, Director of Engineering“At user level, we are determined that Wavestore should provide the most intuitive video and recording management available today with powerful video and data search as well as evidential quality export functionality. We want to give operators the tools they need to efficiently and effectively do their job day in, day out - all from a single screen and with minimal training required.

“Sitting at the heart of an electronic security system, our truly independent open platform VMS enables organisations to unlock the full potential of an integrated solution. For example, although Wavestore integrates as standard with thousands of devices and is ONVIF conformant, bespoke project specific and specialist integrations can be easily, quickly and cost-effectively implemented thanks to WaveStar - our unique protocol translation script that allows us to integrate almost any device with the functionality you need.”

Chris Williams, Director of International SalesChris Williams, Director of International Sales, is exceptionally pleased that Wavestore has also won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the international trade category. “The Award recognises the outstanding growth in export earnings that we have achieved over the past three years. We have been consistently successful in winning significant orders throughout the world during the last 15 years and Wavestore’s reputation for providing robust, reliable and cost effective video management solutions has spread far and wide. In countries such as Australia, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Kuwait, Spain and USA, to name just a few, Wavestore’s VMS has been placed at the heart of security systems operating in virtually every possible type of environment.”

Wavestore’s ability to offer its partners and end-clients a scalable and future-proof video management solution will be on show on stand D1350 at IFSEC International 2015 which takes place at ExCeL London on 16-18 June. Click here to register to attend.
