Vigitron, a leading manufacturer of extend distance transmission products for security and data applications, has announced the release of their Vi1120, 120W, 56 VDC power supply.

“As we started our development of extended PoE solutions of greater than 802.3at we realized the requirement for standard power supplies could not meet the demand. This led to the development of our Vi1120”, stated Neil Heller, Vigitron’s Vice President of Business Development.

Heller went on to say, “The Vi1120 has multiple uses. It will be the power source for our new Vi2701 PoE ++ 60 watt extended distance solution. When used with our Vi2804P, it will provide 802.3af power with no power sharing to each the unit’s four Ethernet ports. It can also be used for any PoE application requiring a high power source.”

The Vi1120 is rated at Level 5 Energy Efficiency, providing the highest degree of energy efficiency and power utilization, conforming to Energy Start Level 5 ERP Stage Green standards.

Using over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Short Circuit Protection (SCP), the Vi1120 provides the maximum protection for both itself and products to which it is connected. Short Circuit Protection will immediately shut down power and automatically recover after the condition is corrected; eliminating lost operating time for equipment replacement.
