Video security in 4K: IFSEC 2016 Synopsys

6 Sep 2016

At IFSEC this year, we showed you how video surveillance and monitoring in 4K delivers more detail and extra intelligence in cities, transport hubs, commercial and industrial environments.

See everything, miss nothing

We displayed our industry-leading 4K and Full HD imaging products and solutions on our stand, and attracted countless visitors to see for themselves just how impactful our new 4K solutions are.

We also took our visitors round a 'city-themed' stand, which included the following applications:

Transport solutions

Star of the show at this year was our SNC-VB770 ultra-high sensitivity camera. Unlike ordinary security cameras, its full-frame Exmor™ CMOS sensor captures crisp, clear 4K video in conditions of near darkness. Smart analytic functions like Intelligent Tracking and Multi Tracking can recognise and dynamically follow multiple subjects; Intelligent Cropping gives a wide area situational overview, plus a close-up view of specific areas of interest.

Retail solutions

We showcased unique solutions for retail and small business, combining the benefits of Sony Full HD and 4K cameras with the Sony Bravia-Pro Display range. The embedded applications in the Bravia display provide live viewing and recording from IP cameras directly in the display in up to 4K resolution. No need for external PCs or decoder hardware.

Logistics solutions

Our 4K cameras are ideal for a wide range of monitoring applications that extend far beyond video security and surveillance. Combining advanced analytics with the latest technology cameras to demonstrate live object tracking and bar code reading applications.

City solutions

Our SNC-VM772R with Intelligent Scene Capture, and SNC-VB632D and W-Series IP network cameras capture detail-packed images in a wide range of urban surveillance and monitoring applications, to assist security professionals day and night.

Network Video Management System

Our latest Network Video Recorders and Network Video Monitoring Software together form our networked Video Management System (VMS) that’s ideal for retailers, banks, schools and transport operators. Scaling from small installations to large-scale networks with thousands of cameras, VMS takes full advantage of the unique imaging functions of our 4K cameras. A choice of recorder and software combinations makes it ideal for integration in any monitoring environment.

Vision Presenter

Originally developed as a unique presentation solution, Vision Presenter brings together live camera feeds, PC applications, media players and other video sources into a dynamic, scalable, multi-screen display under fingertip control from your tablet.

Vision Presenter has also proved to be a solution that can enable greater flexibility and efficiency for more complex surveillance environments such as control rooms and corporate and industrial monitoring with live camera feeds, video playback and dynamic information shown on one large array.
