UTC BIS to unveil Powerful New Video Solutions at IFSEC

28 May 2014

UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), is launching new video recording and management solutions at the upcoming International Fire and Security Exhibition and Conference (IFSEC), stand G1300, Hall S14.

As part of its exhibit, the company will introduce TruVision TVN10, a plug-and-play entry-level network video recorder (NVR) featuring megapixel resolution at analog system prices without the need to deploy expensive information technology infrastructure. The TVN10 helps integrators support smaller commercial installations of megapixel technology by providing an affordable, easily deployed solution. The unit offers an all-in-one design with Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports built into the chassis and full control via front panel buttons and a mouse. The TVN10 can also be operated remotely using its full-featured Web browser interface or the TruVision Navigator video management and TVRmobile software applications.

"Installing the TVN10 is easy and cost-effective," said Kevin Swann, country manager, Fire & Security UK, UTC Building & Industrial Systems. "This NVR is a flexible, high-performance solution. Whether you need to protect one site or hundreds, they can now all be controlled remotely from a smartphone or tablet." The company will also showcase three additional video recorders. The NVR21 plus can record video from eight to 32 IP cameras in real-time, high-definition resolution. Two new high-performance analog digital video recorders (DVRs), the TVR42 and TVR12, offer premium 960H resolution while recording up to four, eight and 16 cameras. TruVision Navigator 5, Interlogix's open-architecture commercial video management software, has also been updated to accommodate new cameras and recorders while remaining backward-compatible. Navigator 5 is compliant with Internet protocol (IP) cameras from all major manufacturers and integrates, manages and controls multiple recording devices, such as DVRs, hybrid DVR-NVRs and commercial off-the-shelf servers. The software also allows the deployment of any combination of analog and IP devices within the same environment. "At IFSEC, we will showcase a comprehensive choice of IP and analog video products that have been extensively tested for superior image quality and long-term reliability," Swann added. "They give the benefits of easy installation and consistent interfaces, as well as backward compatibility to protect customers' long-term investments." Full training and support are provided for all network security and video products
