UltraSync™ enables recurring connectivity services to UTC’s fire and security solutions

14 Jun 2016

UTC Fire & Security UK Ltd. will showcase UltraSync, the new secure cloud solution that connects a range of UTC’s security devices to a number of remote applications, at IFSEC in London, June 21-23. Visitors to stand G1300 will be able to experience UltraSync’s connectivity to UTC devices including ZeroWire™, Advisor Advanced™ and NetworX™. UTC Fire & Security UK Ltd. is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

UltraSync offers distributors, installers and central monitoring stations a service platform where they can easily setup, diagnose and monitor their connected devices. This enables them to offer monthly recurring services to the end users.

Security installers benefit from the advantage of establishing IP connections for devices more easily and quickly, with the connection pre-configured before the engineer arrives on site. The mobile app or remote web-portal access provides them the tools to configure, to commission or to support the end user from anywhere.

“UltraSync takes connectivity to an entirely new level, by ensuring a secure end-to-end connectivity for a range of UTC’s security devices as well as great flexibility in how systems are monitored and controlled,” said Kevin Swann, managing director, UK and Ireland, UTC Fire & Security UK Ltd.

UltraSync adds new power to the popular Advisor Advanced intrusion systems range and the innovative ZeroWire home security and lifestyle management system, besides the already supported xGen intruder system and the NX-595E communicator which enables the NetworX panel to the UltraSync cloud. .

The UltraSync infrastructure provides alarm delivery to any supported central monitoring station of choice, via a secure VPN connection. Every device is connected, via a secure tunnel, to the UltraSync server, which is hosted in a secure cloud environment.

In addition to connecting to a central monitoring station, users can choose to use UltraSync for self-monitoring with the mobile app. They can also switch from self-monitoring to a monitored connection, or have both activated at the same time.
