TOP TIP: Solo battery baton charging

In this latest instalment of our top tips feature, Paul, from our support team, offers useful tips to follow when charging Solo battery batons.

When charging the battery batons it is important to avoid exposing the baton to any form of external heat.  Following these points can avoid damage being caused to the baton and help maintain its life:

In the cold months, take care not to place the baton on charge in a vehicle and leave it in a heated foot well In warmer months, don't leave a battery baton on charge in direct sunlight. When charging the baton remove it from the insulated pouches in the Solo kit bag. A battery baton damaged by heat may have a misshapen appearance (either a curve or bulge at one end).  In some cases there is no external physical evidence that the baton is damaged, other things to look out for include the battery becoming warm/hot in use or when under charge and batteries that don't hold charge.  

All these symptoms are signs that the battery baton may need to be replaced, if in doubt about the symptoms or the battery performance contact technical support for advice.
