At IFSEC 2016, Sony will be showcasing its latest range of IP video solutions to show visitors how video surveillance and monitoring in 4K delivers more detail and extra intelligence in cities, transport hubs, commercial and industrial environments.
Sony’s
new solutions utilise cutting-edge image capture technology, including
state-of-the-art 4K, providing crystal clear images in any environment.
Building on its long history of innovation and reputation as a technology
leader in the IP camera market, Sony will demonstrate the high resolution and
sensitivity capabilities of its latest 4K range, including the recently
announced SNC-VB770 low light camera.
This
year, the Sony stand at IFSEC will be presented in a series of city themed
application environments:
Transportation
solutions
With
four times the resolution of Full HD, 4K offers users accurate and detailed
images for facial recognition and licence plate reading, as well as low-light
technology for increased situation awareness providing improved efficiency,
safety and security.
Sony’s
revolutionary star product for IFSEC 2016, is the industry’s highest
sensitivity network camera. The SNC-VB770 will be given pride of place at the
IFSEC stand. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience how the unique
SNC-VB770 captures crisp, clear details in full colour, even in conditions with
extremely low-light, at 4K resolution. Announced in March this year, the camera
includes a full-frame 35mm 12MP Exmor™ CMOS sensor that captures significantly
more light (in conditions of near darkness) than conventional camera sensors,
providing drastic improvements in sensitivity and image quality in low light
environments beyond the capabilities of the human eye. Visitors will be able to
discover the benefits of Intelligent Cropping and Intelligent Coding, how
full-frame sensors provide ultra-high sensitivity and the impact of intelligent
scene capture and multi tracking, all of which are ideal for demanding city
surveillance, critical infrastructure and transport markets.
Retail
solutions
In
addition to its Full HD and 4K video security cameras, Sony’s wider B2B
solution portfolio offers many advantages to retailers and small businesses. By
using an ‘add-on’ application, users can take advantage of live viewing and
recording directly from Sony’s IP cameras, into its 4K BRAVIA Professional
Displays, without the need for external PCs or decoder hardware.
Logistics
solutions
Sony´s
4K cameras are ideal for a wide range of monitoring applications that extend
far beyond video security and surveillance. In this area, Sony’s cameras
combine advanced analytics with the latest technology to demonstrate how object
tracking and bar code reading applications, can benefit businesses.
City
solutions
This
area will feature Sony´s first 4K video security camera, the SNC-VM772R, with
Intelligent Scene Capture, as well as Full HD models including the SNC-VB632D. Sony will show how these solutions can capture
detail-packed images in a wide range of urban surveillance and monitoring
applications, to assist security professionals day and night.
Other
highlights on the booth will include:
UMC-S3C
4K video camera: Sony´s first 4K mobile
video camera for surveillance, the UMC-S3C, delivers
both sensitivity and resolution for video recording and still images. The
compact, lightweight video camera, provides the highest sensitivity in its
class, with minimum illumination under 0.004lx, ISO 409600. The 35mm full-frame
12MP sensor and image processing engine allow users to capture details even in
the most challenging low-light conditions. The UMC-S3C is suitable for a wide
range of applications, including industrial, A/V, disaster responses, wildlife
monitoring, mapping/ surveying, surveillance, among others to and can be
attached with ease onto moving platforms, such as vehicles and drones.
Network
Management System: Sony’s stand will host
the new Network Video
Management System, which gives professionals a
flexible solution for managing, storing and analysing video content. Designed
for a wide range of commercial video capture applications, including city
surveillance, transportation, financial services and education, the system
supports a wide variety of IP cameras, including the newest 4K technologies
with the unique features offered by Sony’s 4K network camera line up.
Vision
Presenter: Originally developed as an
interactive presentation solution, Vision
Presenter brings together a wide range of
multimedia sources such as live camera feeds, PC applications, and other video
sources into a dynamic, scalable, multi-screen display under fingertip control
from your tablet.
Vision Presenter has also proved to be a solution that can enable greater
flexibility and efficiency for more complex surveillance environments such as
control rooms and corporate and industrial monitoring with live camera feeds,
video playback and dynamic information shown on one large array.
“We’re
looking forward to welcoming visitors at Sony´s booth to see our latest imaging
and presentation innovations at this year’s IFSEC,” said Damien Weissenburger,
Business Head of Corporate & Education Solutions, Sony Professional
Solutions Europe. “The addition of new market leading features, such as
ultra-high sensitivity and incredible low lighting capabilities, are the result
of continuous development into new innovative technologies matching any
customer´s application or environment.”
Sony
will be exhibiting at London’s ExCel Centre alongside other solutions partners
at stand F650 from 21-23 June. For more information, please visit
