Qognify Scores 5 Homeland Security Awards From Government Security News

24 Nov 2015

Includes three wins for best physical security solutions and two for best customer security program or project

Qognify, formerly NICE Security, today announced that, for the fourth consecutive year, its physical security solutions and customer implementations have been recognized with the prestigious Government Security News (GSN) Homeland Security Awards:

- Qognify’s new video analytics solution, Object Origin, was named Best Intelligent Video Surveillance Solution and Best Forensic Software

- Situator was named Best Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) System.
- In addition, two Qognify customers, the City of Nanded, India and the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) Advanced Security Program were recognized as the Most Notable County/Municipal Program, Project, or Initiative for their deployment of Qognify Situator and Qognify Suspect Search, respectively.

“While every award is an honor, those given for specific customer projects and deployments are particularly gratifying, as they bring to life the measurable improvements and impact Qognify’s technologies have on the security, safety, and operations of governments and other organizations,” said Moti Shabtai, President, Qognify. “It’s one thing to understand in theory the benefits of a particular technology; it’s another to successfully deploy and experience tangible value from these solutions. The City of Nanded and the SAMMC share in the honor of these Homeland Security Awards as partners in the design, deployment, and execution of these innovative projects. There’s no greater reward than seeing our efforts to improve security and operations in action, delivering value to real organizations, governments, and people.”

The Homeland Security Awards reinforce the innovative nature of Situator and Object Origin and how they’re being used to solve a growing range of security and operational challenges. Object Origin, which was released in September 2015, is already gaining appreciation for its ability to identify when an object first appeared on screen and the circumstances surrounding it, including who left it and when.

“The competition for this year’s Homeland Security Awards was stiff, but Qognify’s solutions and customer deployments excelled in their innovation, ability to increase security or efficiency while reducing costs, and success in meeting current and future security needs,” said Adrian Courtenay, Chairman of World Business Media, LLC, which publishes Government Security News. “That Qognify captured a win in every category it was nominated for, is a testament to its technological excellence, deep market understanding and insight.”

GSN’s Homeland Security Awards honor physical and IT security product and solution vendors as well as the federal, state, county, and municipal government agencies that keep the country secure.
