New TWIG Beacon Ex - Indoor location solution for lone workers in explosion hazardous areas

TWIG Beacon Ex is engineered and type approved to ATEX protection class II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb (Zone 1 Category II Gas intrinsically safe temperature class 4). The TWIG Beacon Ex short range devices (SRD) system is designed to locate distressed or injured persons inside areas where GPS is not reliable and other methods do not provide needed accuracy or economies. TWIG Protector Ex personal alarm devices are located within a microcell network of RF transmitters, laid out to meet position accuracy requirements. GPS location is provided in parallel where available. Throw beacons in place with large-capacity integrated battery, providing typically 4 years of operating time. Over-the-air configuration facility makes setting up the system easy. IP67 water-proof housing allows installation in demanding environments. TWIG Integrator Kit resources enable integrating TWIG devices with alarm receiving centre for complementary GPS plus TWIG Beacon Ex positioning. Optionally the TWIG WebFinder SP software provides a turn-key solution for testing or deployment.
