The installation of a mobile camera network makes it easy for local authorities and police forces to monitor live events. Whether it's an outdoor festival with over 100,000 visitors in a fixed location or a running contest throughout the city.
The Jeneverfeesten is a well-known festival in Hasselt (Belgium). Loosely translated it means Jenever or Gin Festival. Needless to say that at a festival where 25,000 litres of liquor is served to a total of 150,000 visitors, extra surveillance is a necessity. The police force of Hasselt strengthens their fixed camera network with Mobiqams to keep an extra eye on the festivities. By equipping Mobiqam with a wireless point-to-point connection, the organisers were able to monitor the event with continuous live streams.
