GJD Manufacturing Ltd shortlisted for Insider Media’s International Trade Awards

GJD is one of twenty six companies that have been shortlisted for Insider’s 2014, International Trade Awards

The event, which is now in its fourth year, attracted a record number of entries from businesses right across the North West. Insider’s  features editor, Rupert Cornford comments “This is the first year we have judged companies in turnover-based categories and the competition has been fierce. As the UK faced up to the challenge of growing its export base, it’s great to know there is such a wealth of expertise and international talent in the North West.”

GJD Manufacturing Ltd designs, manufactures and supplies professional external wired and wireless detector equipment as well as CCTV IR and white Iight LED illuminators and lighting controllers utilised in the intruder surveillance industry.

Based in Heywood, just outside Manchester, GJD has been established now for 31 years and was acquired by its current owners in 2004. Managing Director, Mark Tibbenham has taken the business forward and seen the company grow into a multi?million pound global market leading business.

GJD has been growing their exports dramatically over the last five years and sees the establishment of a significant presence in S.E. Asia as the logical step in their long term plans to bring their range of products and services to the largest possible audience. In November last year GJD announced the launch of its Asia subsidiary, GJD Asia. This will be the central office of their operations serving China, Asean and Australasian regions. This move forms part of GJD’s overall strategic marketing plan to become a global supplier of high quality, state-of-the-art, value for money security systems and associated devices.

Insider‘s 2014 International Trade Awards, which are held in association with UK Trade & Investment, will take place on Thursday 4 December at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
