Gallagher Set For Significant Presence At ASIS Macau

6 Dec 2013

Gallagher Will Showcase at Macau Conference on 3-5 December

Gallagher, are set to have a significant presence at the 7th Asia-Pacific Security Forum & Exhibition (ASIS) following recent success at the China Public Safety Expo 2013 (CPSE).

The company, which is a Silver sponsor of this year's event, is looking to build upon recent success in the Asia-Pacific region following the introduction of a number of new and upgraded products such as the T20 access control reader, v7.10 of the Gallagher Command Centre - the company's latest upgrade to its renowned central management tool - and a range of other innovative products.

The T20 is the latest addition in the company's celebrated T Series Reader & Terminal range and has been developed in line with the region's changing attitude to security. In recent years, many countries within the Asia-Pacific region have adopted national identification card systems in response to the demand for better performance and accuracy throughout business and the need to counteract the evolving threats posed by criminal and terrorist activity. The T Series provides contactless card readers for access control management as part of the Gallagher security integration platform. It is characterised by its ability to reduce costs through unparalleled durability, minimal power consumption and a heartbeat monitoring feature which ensures reader status is monitored in real time.

Supplementing the standard benefits of the T series, the T20 also enjoys additional functionality such as: dual card authentication; superior ingress and impact protection; and a terminal-based access mode. These innovative features strengthen the T Series' traditional appeal as an operating system which is secure, reliable and cost effective.

The focal point of the company's presence at ASIS Macau will be the v7.10 Command Centre. The system resides on an organisation's IT network and integrates electronic access control, intruder alarms management, perimeter security and compliance management in a single scalable platform, providing situational awareness together with comprehensive command & control. The benefits of such a system to the security sector are readily apparent; providing one single intuitive, streamlined and effective solution that minimises costs, can be easily maintained, and is managed from a central hub.

Gallagher will also exhibit a recently developed feature; the Visitor Management Kiosk. This product delivers extensive pre-registration and reception-based visitor management functions via an intuitive touch-screen interface. While many computer-based visitor management systems have automated most tasks, their inability to integrate with a site's existing security management system creates potential security gaps which the Gallagher solution eradicates. The product offers a flexible, secure and intuitive solution and provides: improved client-server connectivity on modern corporate IT networks; automatic application updates; enrolment for visitor fingerprints for site access and visitor identification; automatic removal of access on visit-completion, providing a comprehensive audit trail of all visitor management events; and a host of other innovative attributes.

Gallagher has also launched the Z10 Tension Sensor. Designed to provide a superior, intelligent, attack sensor, the Z10 is fully integrated with the Gallagher Command Centre and overcomes shortcomings in conventional taut wire technologies to provide exceptional fence wire disturbance detection. Effective as a stand-alone product, the Z10's unique capacity is maximised when combined with other Gallagher detection and deterrence products in order to provide a highly efficient, layered, multi-technology perimeter solution. Enhancements to the Z10 system include: real-time tension reporting in Command Centre, enhanced cable protection and Z10-specific intermediate insulators.

The K20 Tensioner Link System will also be showcased; a perimeter fence hardware solution which offers both improved performance and aesthetics. The product has been developed to enable faster and increasingly consistent installation, while providing enhanced security and easier maintenance. Additional benefits include high durability and its retro fit potential with existing Gallagher fence installations.

The ASIS exhibition and conference will take place from 3-5 December at the Conrad Macao Cotai Central, Macau.
