Fire Damper Inspection & Testing

Fire Damper Inspections and Testing Global can support clients with Fire Damper Testing ‘Drop Tests’ Inspections in line with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order; 17.1 requires suitable system of maintenance, testing and repair.
This is supported by BS9999; 2017 appendix W “Arrangements should be made for all fire dampers to be tested by a competent person on completion of installation and at regular intervals not exceeding 12 months, and to be repaired or replaced immediately if found to be faulty”.

Standards

  • BS9999:2017 – requires annual inspection and testing
  • BESA TR19 – requires access panels either side of damper
  • BESA TB001 – Testing report format
  • BESA DW145 – Dampers should be installed in line with DW145
 Global inspect and test dampers in line with BESA TB001.
