ASSA ABLOY UK Supports Fire Door Safety Week

ASSA ABLOY UK, has pledged its support for Fire Door Safety Week. The awareness week aims to promote the critical role of fire doors, drawing attention to specific issues such as poor installation and maintenance.

Door closers play a critical part in fire and smoke protection; it is essential that those responsible for fire safety within organisations ensure the correct door closers are installed.

ASSA ABLOY UK’s extensive range of UNION and ASSA ABLOY door closers includes the ASSA ABLOY DC700G-FM Free-Motion® door closer, which is the first door closer for door widths up to 1400mm that combines a free-swing function with Cam-Motion® technology. This allows users to operate fire doors with the same low forces as non-fire doors and replicates the absence of a door closer, but offers reliable closing in the event of a fire.
