Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems Limited has had their range of ‘Comar 7’ doorsets approved to LPS 1175 (Requirements and testing procedures for the LPCB approval and listing of intruder resistant building components, strongpoints, security enclosures and free-standing barriers).
They are also the first company to gain LPCB approval to EN 1627 (Pedestrian doorsets, windows, curtain walling, grilles and shutters. Burglar resistance. Requirements and classification).
Commenting on behalf of LPCB, Richard Flint (Physical Security Scheme Manager) said: ‘We are delighted that Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems Limited chose to submit their Comar 7 doorsets to LPCB for evaluation and that they successfully achieved approval to both LPS 1175 and EN 1627.’
He added: ‘With unrivalled experience in evaluating and testing commercial security products, LPCB’s primary focus is ensuring specifiers and end users have complete confidence in the protection provided by the products it approves. This is founded on over a century of exacting assessment and testing of a wide range of loss prevention products.
Known for being one of the leading security testing and approval bodies in the world, LPCB sets tough performance requirements for products in its loss prevention standards. Consequently, many products fail to meet the requirements and currently 95% of the submitted products fail. LPCB approval and red book listing of products can provide confidence to those investing in security products that they can deliver the required levels of performance when it matters.
