AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE offer
high image quality with full HDTV 1080p resolution at frame rates up to 60 fps,
and feature Axis’ Lightfinder technology as well as Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) -
Forensic Capture, allowing them to master even the most complex and challenging
light conditions. The new cameras are ideal for video surveillance of city
squares, railway platforms, cargo loading bays, airport terminals and retail
showrooms with large window fronts.
Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, introduces two new bullet-style HDTV network cameras for day and night 24/7 video surveillance. The AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE feature Axis’ Zipstream technology that lowers bandwidth and storage requirements by an average 50% or more compared to standard H.264 compression.
Lightfinder technology enables the AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE to capture colour video even in very low-light conditions. The cameras also feature Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) - Forensic Capture technology allowing them to handle complex scenes with high contrasts for example when sunlight creates both very bright zones as well as dark shadow areas.
“With AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE we are introducing two compact and cost-effective bullet-style IP cameras offering the latest image processing technologies for clear identification even in the most challenging light conditions,” says Erik Frännlid, Director of Product Management, Axis Communications. “Both cameras can be installed indoors as well as outdoors, preferably with our new weather shield, designed to protect the camera against heavy rain.”
AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE feature a compact low-weight casing and integrated bracket for wall or ceiling mount. To further simplify installation, a wide range of mounting accessories are available. AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE offer easy installation with remote zoom and focus for fine-tuning the picture from a computer as opposed to at the camera itself. Furthermore, a pixel counter assures that the required pixel resolution is met.
Axis’ Corridor Format allows for full use of the 16:9 aspect ratio when monitoring narrow view areas such as staircases, hallways, aisles or tunnels. P-Iris control ensures optimal depth of field, resolution, image contrast and clarity. The AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE offer an I/O port that can be used for simple notification to an alarm panel or control of a relay or similar. Power over Ethernet supplies power to the cameras via the network, which eliminates the need for power cables and reduces installation costs. The AXIS P1435-LE additionally features Axis’ OptimizedIR, a power-efficient IR LED technology, automatically illuminating any scene taking place in complete darkness and is perfect for discovering objects at a range of up to 30 meters (100 ft).
AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE are supported by the industry’s largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner (ADP) Program, and AXIS Camera Station. The cameras also include support for AXIS Camera Application Platform and ONVIF for easy camera system integration and for application developers to provide the camera with intelligent capabilities.
AXIS P1435-E and AXIS P1435-LE are available through Axis distribution channels.

“ Being able to view the footage on our phones in real time and flick between the different cameras in the café is great. We can zoom in on different areas and slow down or speed up the playback.” Jaya Da Costa, Owner of the Pause Cat Café.
“The Axis cameras have proved exactly the right fit for London Underground here at Canary Wharf station. As we move to 24-hour operation on London Underground stations in a few months’ time, reliability and ease of maintenance are all key operational requirements. Axis cameras have met all these needs and I anticipate they will be deployed in other Jubilee Line extension stations as they are upgraded over the next few years.” Dave Perry, Delivery Manager, Station Capital Expenditure, London Underground.
“ Chester Zoo now has a video security platform which is highly reliable, expandable and future-proof. We know that whatever our requirement in terms of security intelligence, video analytics and integration, it’s now possible with our new IP video system. Speed and appropriateness of response to threats is now assured.” Nigel Peers, Security Manager, Chester Zoo.
“Observit offers a turnkey solution that gives you complete control of the entire process, from simple installation to monitoring of the cameras in each bus and the collection of image material. The entire process is covered in a highly functional and quality manner.” Bram Lauwers, Product Manager Digital Services at Nobina.
“Our analogue system was no longer as innovative as it once was; upgrading to HD IP camera technology made complete sense to us as we strive to maintain our status as the leading event facility in Northern Ireland.” Brian Hughes, Group Head of Facilities at The Odyssey Complex.
“Today the new system is only used if there is a security incident. But in the future we expect managers in specialist areas like visual merchandising to access cameras to assess whether agreed store layouts for new lines are being observed and whether these are working for store visitors.” Lee Bingham, Head of IT, Paul Smith.
“Wireless cameras on the front of the buildings have proven to be a huge asset. Following the initial installation, we noticed an individual attaching a scanner to the cash machine. We’d never had this additional vision before and therefore would not have identified this fraudulent activity prior to the installation.” Phil Parker, Venue Operations Manager at Twickenham Stadium.
