ASSA ABLOY and Genetec Create Access Control Synergy with Synergis

London, March 2014 – Genetec Synergis intelligent access control system has added integration of the ASSA ABLOY Aperio® wireless technology product range.

Genetec Synergis incorporates several Aperio® components including electronic cylinders and escutcheons, wireless locks for security doors and the 1-to-8 Hub for controlling access to multiple doors, without the need for expensive cabling.

Aperio® Synergis integration supports office mode, as well as multiple RFID technologies including iCLASS, MIFARE, MIFARE DESFire and HID Prox/EM410. Currently online only, the integration uses the RS485 protocol, with 16 Aperio® devices per RS485 output from the Synergis Master Controller (SMC).
