Taipei, Taiwan, Sep 15, 2012 – AG Neovo knows how to deliver quality, which made its SX-Plus displays a natural choice for mission-critical German water transport. Germany’s world-famous rivers include the Danube and the Rhine, where operators move tons of cargo 24/7 thanks to clear, real-time displays.
Maintained by the German Federal Waterways and Shipping Administratio (WSV), the main network of rivers, canals and lakes stretches about 5,100 kilometres, forming a key route for transport, trade and recreation.
 

To make trade smoother, the WSV is expanding the waterway network between West to East Germany. An essential part of this effort is the Remote Control Centre in Hörstel-Bergeshövede, which manages nine locks along the Midland Canal. The centre includes a monitoring control room to secure the locks and move goods along swimmingly.
 

Imaging equipment had to deliver quality images round-the-clock, with no room for downtime. Ghosting from nonstop operation, or old images burned in the background of displays, had to be banished. The Remote Control Centre had to identify bottlenecks rapidly, allowing technicians to open and close locks for vessels as needed. A real-time display solution with excellent image quality was necessary for seamless operation.
 

Keeping the locks safe and sound required a comprehensive surveillance system, installed by local system integrator Eltro. Each lock required nine to eleven high-quality displays, providing crisp images to the staff at Hörstel-Bergeshövede. A total of 108 AG Neovo SX-Plus displays gave operators a direct view of all activities along the waterways, ensuring a continuous flow of raw materials and consumer goods.
 

The excellent image quality provided through the Advanced Image Platform™ (AIP) enabled operators to see more. Anti-Burn-in™ technology eliminated ghosting for true live viewing. AG Neovo displays supported multiple connectors, ensuring image resolution matched any camera or input the WSV chose to install. This adaptability sets AG Neovo’s displays apart from consumer monitors, making them the professional displays of choice for surveillance applications.

Despite the harsh environment, the AG Neovo displays performed beautifully. Operators benefit from the anti-glare and anti-reflection glass, keeping distractions to a minimum and maximising monitoring efficiency.
