TeleEye further strengthens its business in South East Asia

TeleEye Group, one of the leading providers of video surveillance system, announced the establishment of its 10th overseas office - TeleEye Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. - in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 31st October 2013.

The Group aims at bringing state-of-the-art total video surveillance solution to Malaysia and providing superb local customer support with this new establishment.

“Malaysia is transforming itself from an efficiency driven economy to an innovation-driven economy. To response to this dynamic transformation of Malaysia, the TeleEye Group will bring the most advanced technologies to the local banking, services, and public sector,” said Prof. Cliff Chan, CEO of the TeleEye Group.

“We will provide training course, design consultations, maintenance, and spare parts to our partners so that to facilitate superb and fast service to our customers in Malaysia,” Prof. Chan added.

Encouraged by the prominent performance of TeleEye systems, TeleEye Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. aims to capture at least 5% of the CCTV market in alaysia in two years’ time.

“We are confident of capturing this market, which is estimated to be worth US$50 million within the next two years due to the most comprehensive range of high definition CCTV systems that we provide over our competitors,” said. Mr. K.Y. Yong, General Manager of TeleEye Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

At the ceremony, a well-known crime buster Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Othman Talib said he believes surveillance cameras play an important role in helping the police to improve evidence-gathering and bolster public trust towards the force.

He said that he would propose local governments to fit more police vehicles with CCTVs.

TeleEye video management systems enable people to view activities of remote sites and manage their business from anywhere, anytime. The systems extend the users’ vision beyond territorial boundaries through various transmission media like the mobile network, the Internet or the telephone line. The systems can also integrate with audio or intelligent devices for use in management of alarm centres, banks, hotels, retail operation, shopping malls, and public utilities.
