Multiple Access Ways - Customization Project

There are some situations that can not be solved with basic Access Control boards. All the ACX boards have at least one RS232 port and you can use it to add an extra barcode reader to your system.
 How could this be useful?
A large stadium has installed for their employees an access control system based on card readers.  But in match days they need their system to switch from card readers to barcode readers in order to allow access to part-time employees (guards).

There are some situations that can not be solved with basic Access Control boards.

All the ACX boards have at least one RS232 port and you can use it to add an extra barcode reader to your system. How could this be useful? Try to imagine this situation:

A large stadium has installed for their employees an access control system based on card readers. The only problem is that in match days there are some other temporary employees who have to be allowed access, like guards. They would have to make cards for them and make sure that after the match these cards are deactivated. For the next match they will have to do it all over again because they will not have the same guards. This is a time-consuming method and a waste of money on cards for every match.

Here is where the ACX controller made the difference by being adaptive and customizable: you can program the software to switch the system on match days from card readers to barcode readers. This means that in match day all cards will be temporarily deactivated.

For every guard will be generated a barcode valid only in a certain timeframe, printed in paper. The software will access in real time a database to check if that person is allowed access.

The real time check is very useful, otherwise someone would have to create a temporary database for every match.

Basically, the system does all the work on his own ensuring safety by real time check of the access status and by generating temporary barcodes.

Even thought it was a complex situation, we are proud to say that the solution described above has been successfully implemented, making life easier.
