Heber Limited, designers and manufacturers of electronic control systems, will be exhibiting at the IFSEC International Exhibition from the 13th -16th May at the NEC, UK in Hall 5, Stand J126.

At the Exhibition, Heber will be demonstrating their new Access Control Solution. Through collaboration with  EDS (Electrical Data Security) Ltd, Heber is now able to offer a complete Access Control Solution. EDS have provided their ‘Speedgate’ Glass Leaf Turnstile to complement Heber’s new Universal Barrier Controller (UBC) System. The UBC is a bespoke platform that provides a suite of flexible and easily configurable parameters for the control of physical security and access control peripherals including gates and barriers.

With current off the shelf solutions being expensive and offering limited flexibility, Heber has identified a real need for a customisable Barrier Control Platform.

The UBC provides the user with a clear graphical interface. System requirements can be defined and programmedthrough a series of ‘drag & drop’ icons. The configuration of parameters such as barrier open/close sequence timings is made very straightforward through the use of ‘slider’ style graphical settings. The UBC also has the ability to record a time-stamped log of operations, for post analysis and evidence of significant events.

Features of the UBC include:

  • AC and DC power supply options
  • Configurable I/O for interfacing with 3rd party products
  • Provision for secure links
  • Inductive load outputs
  • Manual override operation, for power-outs and engineer’s fault analysis
  • Anti-tamper protection
  • Timed events data logging
  • USB connection for secondary control / programming / settings configuration / timed events data collection

Les Ashton-Smith, Heber’s Managing Director comments: “We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to work with EDS on what we believe is a really innovative and customer focused development in barrier control technology. Showcasing the new solution at IFSEC is very exciting as a key part of the exhibition’s appeal is demonstrating excellence and innovation within the industry. We are delighted to be part of that”.
