Tyco Fire Protection Products is launching a new open protocol fire detection solution at IFSEC International 2012. FireClass is the latest innovation in fire detection technology which integrates a full range of detectors and ancillary units with both conventional and addressable panels. This new system provides installers and fire system integrators with advanced fire detection products designed with ease of installation and simplicity in mind available from a single provider.
FireClass has been engineered for intuitive use and simple configuration and is based on a well established and trusted technology platform from Tyco Fire Protection Products. It offers customers an ‘out of box’ fire detection solution that can be easily configured and installed. As an open protocol platform, FireClass also gives end users flexibility in service and maintenance options and spare part procurement.

The FireClass portfolio includes a complete range of fire panels which offer solutions for all applications. These include the Duo-Cel conventional two, four and eight-zone panel and Prescient 3 gas suppression control panel. Addressable panels such as the FireClass Lite, a single loop panel, can be configured in minutes with straightforward quick-start guide, The FireClass 32, 64 and 240 are provided with feature-enhanced zonal capability and ‘auto learn’ functionality to recognise all devices in the FireClass range. Flexible manufacturing enables different system requirements to be met, including the integration of network cards and additional input/output points, providing additional benefits to customers. The FireClass range is also supported by a wide portfolio of ancillary products, accessories and field devices for addressable panels and detectors.

Tyco Fire Protection Products is launching the FireClass range initially into the UK and Ireland markets, with plans to extend the reach into other parts of Europe during 2012 /13.
